Out & proud: Todrick Hall!

It’s always nice when a new, talented (not to mention attractive) star rises – and it’s even better when we discover that someone as talented, interesting and hot as Todrick Hall is part of the LGBT flock! Attentive viewers might recognize Todrick from the 9th season of American Idol, or from one of his Broadway performances. His piercing gaze and emerald eyes, complemented with devilish smile, have enchanted us through such videos as Cinderfella, It Gets Better and Beaty and the Beat – if you haven’t seen any of them yet, it’s high time to meet someone on YEC.com who can bring pop culture closer to you!

YouTube sensation: Todrick Hall

Todrick has also expressed a desire to become a role model for LGBT youth. He stated for GLAAD: “Now, I’ve devoted my life to making sure that I can be a trailblazer for any other African-American kids or any other gay kids that just feel weird or uncomfortable and have their own issues and don’t know how to express themselves. I want to be like a beacon for those kids now that they can look up and say, ‘Well, Todrick did this even though it was difficult. He got his own TV show.’ And, the show is not about drama, we’re not drinking, we’re not sleeping with each other’s friends or pulling out each other’s weave. We are people who are talented, who have moved to L.A. to live the American dream and try to make our dreams come true, and we work very hard every week to do it, and I think that is a show worth watching and that people should be supporting.”

Isn’t that heartwarming? After his American Idol day, Todrick has risen to become a YouTube sensation in its own right, complete with his own MTV show.
