Viennese Rainbow ball – Alles Walzer!

We’ve already given you some info about Vienna’s best gay bars and clubs – but January makes this beautiful Austrian city special for a whole different reason. On January 30th, annual Rainbow Ball will take place near Schonbrunn palace!

Rainbow Ball in Vienna.

Regenbogenball, as it is called in German, is a special event organized by HOSI Wien, the biggest LGBT organization in Austria. If you’ve ever dreamed of ballroom dancing with a handsome guy in a tuxedo, now is the time to visit and make your dreams come true! This 19th Rainbow Ball has a history of great fun, and is traditionally visited by gay, lesbian and transgender persons who want to have a good time and waltz!

And since it’s a ball, there is a dress code – no jeans, but all kinds of suits are accepted (bow tie, elegant jackets, ties, full length gowns for ladies)… so you better prepare your dancing shoes! It’s also a long event, lasting from 7:30 till 4:30 – make sure you’ve got some stamina to waltz all night long!
