Gay getaway: Malta!

Malta is a great choice for a relaxing holiday – it’s a small island nation in the middle of the Mediterranean with rich cultural heritage, excellent food and warm climate! Not to mention that Mr. Gay World election will be held there… but what can you and the guy you met on yec.com do while in Malta, besides ogling at hot guys on the beach?

Blue lagoon of Comino.

First thing you absolutely need to visit is the blue lagoon of Comino – remember the movie Troy with super hunky Brad Pitt displaying his muscles on the beach? Well, it was this lagoon and this beach – it’s located on the island of Comino, between Malta and Gozo. The waters are, for a lack of a better word, stunning – turquoise and aquamarine! Comino Island used to be a pirate base, but today there are no urban zones so it’s ideal for walking, relaxing and taking pictures with you man!

Blue Grotto is actually a series of caverns on the south coast of Malta. Due to rock formations and clarity of water, you’ll be seeing all shades of blue inside the caves – it’s a very popular tourists’ destination and has starred in many commercials and movies!

Also called Città Notabile, this fortified city is a great example of Malta’s rich heritage. It used to be Malta’s capital and existed since 700 BC! If you’re interested in history, you also need to pay a visit to St. John’s Co-Cathedral and Falconry Center.
