Gay across the world: Whisper stories!

Yes, Whisper features prominently in our writing – it’s because it’s so handy to have anonymous confessions and to feel the pulse of the community. But while we’re mostly focused on the US coming out stories, funny moments and relationship issues, it’s time to check out how people are doing in other countries across the globe… specifically, in those places where being LGBT can get you in a lot of trouble, to put it mildly. Take a look at these stories… and if you want to travel somewhere, you can use yec.com to find a nice travel mate and go to parts of the world where you can openly be what you are!

I'm lesbian living in the Middle East. Why this is unaccepted here?
I'm a gay arab and you cannot even imagine how scared I am of coming out to my parents.
