Romance time: Charm him with cinematic magic!

When we write about movies, we’re usually recommending best travel movies to pass the time while you’re travelling thanks to – but once you get there and settle, it’s time to work your magic and make the guy fall in love with you! And what better way to do so than to watch some romantic comedies together, movies that will make you laugh and cry? Besides, you two can simply enjoy the movies!

With a fantastic cast of Jason Lee, Ben Affleck and Joey Lauren Adams, this movie was so heartbreaking, heartwarming (and generally, all things heart) that there won’t be a dry eye in the room when it ends. Bonus: it deals with sexual orientation, love, loss and acceptance.

Notting Hill

Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts make the magic happen on screen in this oldie (from 1999): she’s a big time movie star; he’s just a regular bloke. Sounds like a corny chick flick? It might be, but Hugh rocks his British charm and Julia has some excellent moments. In the end, we’re all cheering for them.

This one comes straight from the vaults: back in 1961, Truman Capote was a young, aspiring writer, Audrey Hepburn was a young star, and George Peppard was perfect as a struggling writer. Try to watch it in original, black and white version to get that real feel; it’s a masterpiece of the early Hollywood dramedies.
