Proposals are and should be something special – but David Alviar went not just one step further, not that extra mile, but a couple of thousands of miles to propose his boyfriend! This 31-year old rower jumped into the boat on the Canary Islands, off the coast of North Africa, and started rowing in December!
David had lots of help from his friends Mike Matson and Brian Krauskopf – and what did he do when they finally reached their destination, the island of Antigua in the Caribbean? HE PROPOSED! How can a man say to to another man who just rowed 3000 miles (that’s more than 4500 kilometers) to give him the ring? Luckily, his boyfriend Stanley just said a tearful “yes”!
Of course, there were lots of tweets about their journey!
