Presenting “In A Heartbeat”!

We’re not used to seeing LGBT characters in children’s entertainment – except for Mitch in “ParaNorman” a few years ago and his quiet coming out at the end of the movie, we haven’t seen a whole lot of younger gay characters in animation. But Beth David and Esteban Bravo, two animation students at the Ringling College of Art and Design in Florida, are creating an animated movie called “In a Heartbeat” – and it tells a story of a young gay love!

Beth David stated: “We want to put out a message of love and self acceptance to all the kids and young people who struggle to identify as LGBT+ just like Sherwin does.”

Official synopsis says that it’s about “a closeted boy runs the risk of being outed by his own heart after it pops out of his chest to chase down the boy of his dreams.
